The Black Writers Weekend Officially Selects The epiMediaGroup, LLC As Public Relations Firm

Fort Knox, KY – February 2020 –  In March 2020, The Black Writers Weekend officially selected The epiMediaGroup, LLC, a global public relations conglomerate, to represent its brand and produce the 12th annual Black Writers Weekend.  Black Writers Weekend was designed with a creative approach to celebrating books and writers. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet their favorite author, screenwriter, and film & television stars at one of the many events during the weekend. Black Writers Weekend was especially created for creatives and culture lovers.

The Brainchild of The Black Writers Weekend is Best Selling Author and Business women Tamika Newhouse.  Tamika Newhouse is the author of 17 novels, has landed on numerous best sellers’ lists and is the winner of 8 African American Literary Awards. Tamika is also a signed author and the CEO of Delphine Publications. To date she has published nearly 200 titles, launched the careers of hundreds of writers, and produces the only entertainment award show for writers, called the AAMBC Literary Awards.

The Black Writers Weekend was established in 2008 as an award show called the AAMBC Awards, it is now expanded to a four-day weekend. The weekend includes panels, workshops, author signings and our celebratory book bash, movie screenings, along with the formal awards gala. The Black Writers weekend is a complete literary experience designed specifically for readers and writers of all genres, genders, and ages,” Newhouse says. “We wanted this to be a true celebration of literary achievement in every area imaginable.”

Since its inception in 2008, the festival has been held in several locations; Baltimore, Chicago, San Antonio, and finally found a home in Atlanta in 2014. The festival is the nation’s only entertainment award show and gathering for black creatives in publishing, film and TV enthusiasts, with approximately 1,500 attendees. The weekend takes place in Atlanta, GA.

This year’s Black Writers Weekend will take place starting Thursday, August 27, 2020 – Saturday, August 29, 2020.  Future announcements of honorees, book signings, exclusive panels, after parties, award recipients and V.I.P. guests.  Updates will be found on the official website:  www.theaambcawards.com.
